Strategy
“Public funds protection is a national duty”
In conclusion, this strategic plan seeks to develop capabilities within SAB and promote creativity in the
fields of capacity building and auditing to achieve advanced levels and ensure the sustainability of its
functions. It serves to provide a roadmap to realizing the vision of SAB. The goals of the present strategic
plan define SAB’s vision for the coming five years, during which additional actions are identified as part
of the ongoing institutional strategic thinking. In addition to the periodic reviews and evaluations, this
strategic plan entails developing annual follow-up schedules/forms, which is an assessment practice that
was integral to the success of the previous plans.
The strategic plan of SAB is distinguished to be highly flexible according to the developments and
surrounding conditions. Therefore, it is imperative to conduct periodic reviews during the execution phase
in order to ensure the continuation of the strategy and to address the causes leading to any deviations
in executing the plan. It is also necessary to present, on a real-time basis, recommendations on what
corrective actions shall be taken for performance improvement. In fact, the achievement of SAB’s strategic
goals is a joint effort that requires the seriousness and cooperation of all staff members to achieve the
vision of SAB. The vision shall have a clearly defined weight and the strategic goals must be assigned the
weight and value that corresponds to the overall weight of the vision. This entails that the weight of the total
set of goals shall be equal to that of the vision. Hence, all parties shall cooperate to achieve the plan and
its strategic goals, thereby realizing the overall vision of the institution.
The journey of the next five years will define the success of the strategic plan. To that end, we will work
together to lay out the path for a professional career full of honorable accomplishments. We take this
opportunity to thank and appreciate all those who contributed to preparing and developing this strategic
plan and to all SAB members who took the lead in achieving the aspired goals. Such efforts would evidently
reflect in improving the performance of SAB’s tasks and missions.
The key is not the will to win... everybody has that.
It is the will to prepare to win that is important.
