rapidity and quality of responses in such
events. The role of SAIs and other regulatory
authorities is evident in supporting public funds
and procurement policies and procedures,
in addition to the importance of partnerships
between the private and public sectors and
other relevant stakeholders in compliance to
the national regulations. Article 73 of the report
indicates the importance of the role of SAIs
in supporting public funds and procurement
policies (Procurement Systems) which
represent the implementation of governance
in the adopted fiscal and administrative
systems. SAB has achieved this through
its developmental project of Governance
Systems Applications represented by the
publication of SAB’s Governance Systems
Guidelines. The Bureau has been applying
the guidelines for more than three years as
they were included in the annual reports. SAB
has also launched a developmental project
on Internal Audit Systems Support in Bodies
Subject to SAB’s Control and the Reinforcement
of their Internal Audit Capacities. The guide
was implemented by three sectors including
those of Ministries,Public Administrations,
Independent Public Entities and Affiliate Entities
and Companies.
The Political Declaration on Combating
Corruption stipulates an international
methodology that presents the fight against
corruption as a central issue in international
relations. It paved the way to unite international
efforts in fighting corruption in all its
manifestations and activated the role of SAIs in
prioritizing the delivery of solutions for this issue
among the matters they tackle. SAIs are obliged
to intensify their efforts and take measures to
combat corruption as well as its manifestations
through the implementation of the international
regulations and standards. These measures
clarify the seriousness of entities subject to their
control and the efficacy of their procedures
in the management of remarks and financial
irregularities stated in their final accounts.
The articles of the political declaration reflect
SAB’s well planned future visions that proved
the efficacy of the resolutions and procedures
which were activated through the application
of successful professional projects and media
activities that contributed to the achievements
of the Bureau throughout the years.
This reading revealed the technical and
professional congruence of the UN’s report in its
Political Declaration on Combating Corruption
and SAB’s efforts that represent the result of a
well planned work strategy which was carried
out in a team work spirit. These results prove
the concern of SAB’s employees in following
the latest professional and technical updates
in the field of audit , as well as their efforts in
the employment of the profits of professional
cooperation with professional organizations in
reality. The Bureau’s efforts recorded proactive
steps that adopted a variety of issues stated
in the report and represented through a
number of development projects implemented
by specialists. These projects aimed at the
development the SAB employees professional
capacities to qualify them for the latest technical
and professional updates.
SAB has future visions based on a
well-established plan which proved
the efficacy of the successful
resolutions and procedures
in reality.
