The Citizen’s Report 2021
Under the slogan “Managing a Crisis with a
Nation’s Will,” For the third consecutive year, the
State Audit Bureau issued the Citizen’s Report
of which aims at drawing citizens and civil
society organizations’ attention towards its role in
protecting public funds. The report also displays
the results of SAB audit operations throughout
the crisis of the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic
(COVID19-).
His Highness the Emir received Mr. Faisal Al-
Shaya, the President of SAB, on the 7th of April
2021 who delivered the third edition of the
Citizen’s Report.
His Highness the Crown Prince also received Al-
Shaya with a copy of the report.
The report’s slogan, “Managing a Crisis with
a Nation’s Will,” came in alignment with the
exceptional circumstances facing the country due
to the Novel Coronavirus pandemic (COVID19-),
particularly amidst SAB’s efforts to resume its
control role at all times to protect public funds.
SAB vitally contributes to the protection of
public funds and rationalization of expenditure
to assure optimal exploitation of resources. Its
audit operations and outcomes aim to enhance
the principles of integrity, transparency,
accountability, and governance.
The effective impact of audit reports is attained
through communicating their contents to the
legislative and executive authorities along with
the relevant stakeholders such as the citizens,
civil society organizations, and professional
institutions.
Therefore, SAB acknowledges the importance
of carrying on with the publishing of this special
report to easily communicate vital information
