The Sustainable Development Goals Audit Committee of ARABOSAI (SDGs Audit
Committee) held its fifth meeting virtually on the 17th and 18th of May, 2021,
with the participation of (8) member SAIs. This meeting took place as part of the
preparatory work of the ARABOSAI committees prior to holding the Executive
Board meeting of the Organization.
The State Audit Bureau of Kuwait (SAB), represented by Abdullah Alsheetan,
Chief Auditor at the Defense, Security, and Public Affairs Audit Department,
chaired the meeting with the participation of Mubarak Alsubaiee, Auditor at
the Performance Audit Department. The meeting discussed the two concept
notes pertaining to the draft goal (4), the progress towards achieving the 2020
operational plan along with the exceptional plan, outcomes of the participation in
the ESCWA Forum, the allocation of work to the members of the Committee, and
the formation of new working groups to carry out specific tasks. It also discussed
amending the Regulation of the SDG Audit Committee to bring it into conformity
with the latest version of the ARABOSAI Statutes.
