INTOSAI Working Group on Big Data (WGBD)
A delegation from the State Audit Bureau of Kuwait (SAB) participated in the 4th Annual Meeting
of the INTOSAI Working Group on Big Data (WGBD) on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, chaired by the
Republic of China.
At the meeting, SAB was represented by Fatma Alfailakawi, Chief Auditor at the Independent
Bodies of Economic and Service Affairs Audit Department, and Dalal Alkandari, Principal Analyst
Programmer at the Information Technology Department.
The meeting addressed a report presented by the SAI of China on the latest developments of
WGDB. This report was prepared with an aim to determine the opportunities and challenges the

this domain. It was also aimed at summarizing the know-hows, experiences, and good practices
relating to the audit of big data as well as developing guidelines and research reports to share
knowledge and assist SAIs in enhancing their relevant capacities. Further, the report was intended
to enhance the bilateral, regional, and INTOSAI-wide cooperation among the SAIs in the field of big
data audit.
Participants of the meeting discussed a study on the audit of technologies innovation, a report
by the National Audit Office of China on the Research Project “Guidelines on conducting audit
